What is the best vibe coding tool on the market?
Claude, Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, RooCode
As the creator of Desktop Commander, I’m often asked how it stacks up against popular AI coding tools like Cursor, Windsor, Cline, GitHub Copilot, and others.
I usually explain the differences — how some tools work at the folder level, while others (like Desktop Commander) aim to act more like full-system assistants.
But even after all that, I still get the same follow-up question:
If I’m already using something like Cursor, why would I switch?
A fair question. And rather than just tell people why, I decided to show them.
