Very relevant article for some of us!

I had plenty of hobby projects over the years that solved my problem. But it feels that it was a waste that I did not try to monetize some of them.

I did hit the same realization as you.

Those projects should align with how we like to spend time outside of our usual jobs.

May be aligned with what we would like to do daily if it becomes a real job.

I had one project that helped me to figure out and partially automate flat buying.

But after I bought the flat I realized that it's a boring business for me to be in and I am not interested in spending further years working on it.
