I recently heard about OpenAI’s plan to launch a ChatGPT App Store. It’s quite an exciting development, reminiscent of the early days of the iOS App Store but for AI applications. The goal is to make AI more accessible, allowing people beyond those with a coding background to experiment and create. Even for 20 years in software development OG like me, this is particularly intriguing. As I have a big backlog of hobby projects I do not have time for.

Exploring the Potential

The upcoming ChatGPT App Store seems like it could be a creative playground. It’s not just for tech experts, which is great news for creative folks. There’s this sense of opportunity for all kinds of people to try their hand at something new and perhaps find their niche. I’m envisioning a diverse array of apps, ranging from practical tools to educational aids or just fun experiments.

My Little Experiment: “Guess a Person”

Guess Who ChatGPT Game

Diving into this new world, I’ve been working on a game for ChatGPT called “Guess a Person.” It’s a basic game where you try to identify a famous person through yes-or-no questions. The twist is your companion in this game is an AI character named Gus, who I’ve tried to infuse with a sense of humor and a penchant for playful bickering.

Note: At the moment, “Guess a Person”, like all other apps, is available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers. So if you’re a Plus user, I’d really love your input on this.

Why I Need Your Feedback

This is somewhat uncharted territory for me, and I’m curious to see how it’s received. That’s why your feedback would be invaluable. If you’re a Plus user and have a moment, try out “Guess a Person” and let me know what you think. It’s essential for me as I ponder over what to create next, especially with the App Store’s launch on the horizon.

What’s Next?

The prospect of what other creators will bring to the table once the store launches is thrilling. And for me? Well, I’ll continue to explore and create, seeing where this path leads. Maybe “Guess a Person” is just the beginning of a fascinating journey into making AI apps.
