Hm, I would probably not summarize novel I am planning to read and enjoy. I guess what you speak about is more akin to spoilers being bad. That movie is an experience you enjoy more when consumed as is. But it's still not always the case. I do often read wikis about some multi book universes because I do not intend to read all of them. Or I watch video reviews. Are they disrespect?

Thinking in this direction one example that is content I would not summarize is what this guy is doing https://youtube.com/@Fireship

He does content, but does it in a way where value is lost if summarized. He put a lot of humor and work to make it very dense, clever, engaging and hilarious. You could say he earned respect to not be summarized.

This actually reminds me of another thing. Respect can't be ever demanded, it's earned. When you demand respect where none was earned you get something else.

Hm. To me this is closer to music actually. I want one sing, I do not want whole album. And even then I listen adult different volumes and have equalizer settings.

All in all sad conclusion fir me is that if I summarize your content it means it did not earn my respect in it's fullness. And you can not demand that. You can shun me away though. But there still is value to be exchanged there as I just want couple of 'songs' from it.

So... Sorry I can only leave entirely or continue summarizing at thus point.
