You can see in the screenshot that I was using Windsurf in December. But by January and February? It was gone from my workflow. So what happened?

You can see the spike in usage since December.

I had already written about my early experiments in December, but since then, things evolved significantly. Here’s what changed:

I built my own MCP — ClaudeComputerCommander, which allows Claude to explore, read, write files, and manage long-running processes on my machine.
