Any thoughts on long term effects?

I am following tools for coding with AI for non developers.

My feelings is, this time next year all code related companies will have products for AI coding not for coders.

Check GPTEngineer for how it feels.

Or WebSim.

Or Claude Artifacts.

But those just scratch the surface. Nokia phones before iPhones. Even less than that, more like early cell phones in 90ties before iPhones.

I am thinking to write an article but parallel I see is:

We are about to repeat industrial revolution and Assembly Line invention. But if that killed "by hand artisans" and created mass produced items physical artefacts. Cheap widely available.

I just checked my home today and hardly found anything that is not mass produced.

Well, we are now entering an age of mass produced artefacts of the mind. Its early, its not even Henry Ford level yet.

Well may be, may be ChatGPT is Henry Ford assembly lines for some of textual needs.

But it feels like we did first steps in to that direction... Automatisation and mass production of artefacts of mind created by knowledge worker artisans currently.

Short term future work? Creators of assembly lines of mind artefacts. That is what Midjourney and the like are. Finetuners of pipelines that mass produce knowledge workers artefacts.

For industrial revolution it took around 100 years to reshape civilisation. How long will this new wave take?

Any thoughts on that?
